Around the world, marriage is a very important aspect in world culture; however, in the America’s marriage seems to dominate young adults lives, especially women, to a different extreme. The gender ratio in national parliament has always been more men than women. There are many variables that one can use to measure this uneven ratio; however, the most important variable that contributes to this outcome is the average age of marriage of the country. If a country s average age of marriage is young, then their women representation in government will be low and vice versa. With the continuous binding of women into marriage, the number of women in parliament will slowly continue to decline. When examining the information further, it can be confirmed that the age of a woman when she is married is not a vital factor in whether she will have a lesser chance of participating in parliament. Although, there is some parallels between a few countries, majority do not correlate with the wom en s age. Marriage is a legally recognized joining between a man and a women.
